Our second visit lead us to the 5* hotel Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Inspired by the imperial and vibrant synthesis of Ottoman architecture and art, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, the five-star luxurious resort is nestled on the quiet, pristine West Crescent of Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah.
The interior of the luxurious resort takes one back to the golden Tulip age as every wall has carefully been hand-painted to a smooth finish proudly displaying Turkish artworks and stunning murals, giving the resort a rich historic feeling.
With stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline, the resort boasts 379 elegant guest rooms, 26 lavish suites, four bedrooms and five-bedroom villas from our 38 Royal Residences. Swim into infinite bliss at our 59-metre infinity pool or walk along the private beach and enjoy the sounds of the alluring waters that will soothe your mind.
We’ve got a very warm welcome, even “just” as a group of students and no customers. They invited us on a very impressive tour through their hotel, the several restaurants, the suites and even inside the residences.
They were very friendly and answered all the questions we raised during the tour. Afterwards they invited us to a tea (coffee)-time at the bar in their arrival hall.
What have we learned during our visit Jumeirah Zabeel Saray? In the sales management of a hotel you have to be able to demonstrate knowledge of all market segments, with a good understanding of e-commerce. You should already be based, or have previously worked, in the UAE to understand their way of working and what international guests except from you.
Fluency in English is a must to be able to handle the majority of your international partners. Leading an intercultural group shall become an important part of your job and you have to open minded to set up a case to case leadership to cope with all the demands.
